Answers to the questions people ask most.
How do I get back something I deleted?
Open the Photos app and go to Albums, then Recently Deleted. Choose the items you want and tap Recover.
Items stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days. If your iCloud storage is over its limit, iOS removes them straight away, so they cannot be recovered there.
If iCloud Photos is on, anything you delete is also removed from your other devices.
Why does éPure need full access to my photos?
Cleaning means comparing the whole library. Finding duplicates and similar shots needs every photo. Your photos never leave your phone.
Can I share only some photos?
Yes. With limited access, éPure works on the photos you share. You can add more photos or allow full access later.
Why is the space freed on my iPhone smaller than in iCloud?
With Optimize iPhone Storage turned on, your iPhone keeps smaller versions of many photos and the full originals live in iCloud.
Removing those photos frees the full size in iCloud but only the smaller size on your iPhone. éPure shows the two figures separately.
Why did the scan pause?
When your iPhone is hot, éPure pauses scanning while it cools down. It carries on by itself.
How do I protect an album?
In éPure, open Settings and choose Protected albums, then pick the albums to keep safe. Favourites and hidden photos can be protected there too.
Is éPure really free?
Yes. There are no in-app purchases, no subscription and no ads. There is nothing to buy.
